UTICA, N.Y. -- Soon, a global company will be spinning its wheels at Utica's Harbor Point.
"I have been building things, between automotive and bicycles, for over 40 years, and for 14 years. I built transmissions, and I helped establish and launch the E-bike industry in Europe," said eBliss Global Chairman and CEO Bill Klehm.
He wants to respond to the demand of a burgeoning industry from Harbor Point.
"What we're seeing in the U.S. is we're seeing a wild surge in e-bikes, almost 2.5 million of them sold last year in America. That's up from 60,000 in 2016, so we're talking about the fastest-growing piece of transportation equipment in the world, in the United States, for sure," said Klehm.
